And that was that. From then on, we moved swiftly into the happy ending.
Ro actually became CEO and managed to keep some dignity, though not much. Aliya was deported, I hope, though my brother doesn't want to talk about her. Emma is working as technical consultant and I was left as QA manager, which means I don't do anything at all but I get paid. Alan is accounting, Kim is PRing, and they're pretty good at it, they don't wear suits any more.
Our new company isn't making any money yet, but things are progressing incredibly well. You'll probably be seeing our logo everywhere in four-five years time.
Oh, wait, I forgot, this is just a fiction story, you know? So if you see anything like this it just means it was a cleverly researched idea, right?
Right.
So yeah, everything was perfect. I even got a new Dreamcast pretty cheap on eBay and Ro and I started our retro-Mondays gaming schedule, and though he insisted on getting together to play his PS3, I managed to avoid it every time.
